The Department of Industrial Development and Research (DIDR) organised the inaugural Tamparuli Fest 2018 earlier this week. It was a 3-day event, held between July 10 – 12, at Tun Hamdan Community Hall, Tamparuli. It is part of the “1 District 1 Small Industry” initiative.
Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau, who is also State Trade and Industry Minister, officially launched the programme on July 11.
It was carnival mood throughout the Tamparuli Town. Local folks joined many of the activities including Business Idea Pitching, Dance Competition, Master Chef Challenge and Lucky Draw. The Borneo Scrub won the Business Idea Pitching competition with their very unique and compelling action plan.
Their specially made coffee scrub is also available for sale on our Borneo Kaki online supermarket.
Sabah Supply Chain Shared Services and Outsourcing (SSO) was also invited to promote the sales of local products. Many local SMEs showcased their products in various booths. Many of the familiar names were with us on that day, including Mak Anna, Hafiszuddin, Santiqi, PME, Heera and many more.
